August 2024<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">The world's first HEION system goes into operation at Schuster &amp; Sohn KG in Kaiserslautern<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the 150<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Schuster &amp; Sohn KG and the official opening of the warehouse for alternative fuels in Kaiserslautern on August 28, 2024, the only HEION plant currently in operation in Germany will be presented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The plant produces 5 million liters of HEION CLEAN DIESEL ER \u00ae (KlimaDiesel 25) per year. This achieves a local reduction in CO<sub>2<\/sub> emissions and the diesel complies with DIN EN 590, so that it can be safely used in all diesel vehicles. By adding up to 26% HVO (a synthetic diesel produced from residual and waste materials), a \"calculated\" CO<sub>2<\/sub> reduction of approx. 25% is achieved after heionization, which can be verified with certificates from the upstream suppliers. These certificates serve as recognized proof of the reduction of the CO<sub>2<\/sub> footprint. This is how HEION CLEAN DIESEL ER \u00ae differs from all other fuels available on the market. The management and the team of almost 150 employees work at 5 locations in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland on a climate-friendly energy supply. Schuster &amp; Sohn is constantly looking for innovative concepts and products and implementing them. The new diesel was repeatedly refined and tested over three years and is now available to customers in Kaiserslautern and Enkenbach-Alsenborn at the filling stations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HEION GmbH is an innovative green tech start-up and has developed a diesel cleaning system that processes and cleans diesel fuels using an innovative, patented process. HEION CLEAN DIESEL ER (KlimaDiesel25) reduces diesel consumption and CO emissions are reduced by up to 9.3% and nitrogen oxide emissions by around 16%.
